We’ve seen Ombré throughout fashion, wallpaper, product and hairstyles so it’s not surprising we are seeing a lot of Ombre fabrics coming into our showrooms and heading out as beautiful curtains just as quickly!
Ombré translates to “shade” or “shadow” and we often see the colour changing from dark through to light. It can make a dramatic effect on a space depending on how it’s used or it can add a gentle glow to a room.
If you’re after a subtle ombre, neutrals will always acheive that look. Keep your walls light and make sure your drapes run from ceiling down to the floor to prevent the room from being closed in.
If dark and bold is more your thing, opt for an ombre drape that bleeds down to same depth of colour you have on your walls. It makes the white stand out more against the darkness of your walls and will therefore prevent them from looking washed out.
If a feature colour is your forte then make the most of it! Tie in your cushions, furniture and rugs with your ombre drapery and your space will evolve into a harmonious, considered environment.
More drapery is bottom heavy with gorgeous patterns that grow up the fabric. This is a softer, easier way of introducing pattern into your space. Keep your furniture and other décor fairly non-invasive so that your drapes can steal the limelight.
