Black Label Interiors
A couple of month’s back we featured Metricon’s new Nordic Elk style – the more earthy and rugged sibling of Scandinavian design. Metricon have recently added a new theme to their look-book, and with the World Cup in full swing, we couldn’t help but share the stunning new Black Label style.
Metricon are an Australian home design company, and their look-book, created by their team of expert designers, is full of inspiration on the latest interior design trends. Black Label is the latest of their design styles and, although we are slightly bias towards black and white, we truly believe this new theme is pretty special. Perfectly balancing classic elegance with contemporary simplicity, the Black Label theme creates a luxurious, high-end feel that is on-trend now, but also incredibly timeless.
Create the Black Label feel in your own home with the tips below:
- The Black Label style relies on texture rather than colour. Keep your home feeling welcoming by embracing dark timber furniture, marble, porcelain, glass, and a collection of luxurious fabrics.
- Be confident with the use of pattern. Geometric patters will bring interest and depth to the subdued colour palette and can easily be incorporated through cushions, rugs, curtains and art.
- Think high-end. Black Label styling creates a feeling of opulent living, but needs to be backed up by high-end furnishings and materials. The great news is, this can still be done on a budget. Talk to our curtain designers about our range of look-a-like linen and velvet fabrics, and don’t be embarrassed to embrace a little look-a-like marble.
- The best way to create a boutique hotel feel is to go grand! Oversize beds and lounge suites are perfect for this luxurious look. Ensure the pieces have clean lines though, and stick with the neutral colour palette.
- Finally, accessorise your room with all things metallic. A large bronze vase filled with Magnolias or Orchids is the perfect finishing touch to a Black Label interior.
